The successful candidate should have an open friendlily manner, be articulate, have an enthusiasm about all things aquatic, have a good understanding of water quality, have a knowledge off different types of aquarium equipment and a basic level of maths.

St Albans

Full Time Fish House Assistant

We are looking to add to our team of enthusiastic staff at our St Albans branch.  The position available is in our 'fish house' and the successful applicant should be experienced with a good all round knowledge of fish, and be able to demonstrate a high duty of care towards all of our livestock.

Duties will include but not limited to maintenance of some of our 350 aquariums, feeding, treating, and caring for our livestock, and above all, interacting with our loyal customer base exuding enthusiasm and knowledge at all times.  Skills required are a good all round knowledge of several aspects of fish keeping, simple water chemistry (including the nitrogen cycle) and an understanding of the current trends in filtration and aquarium.
