Echinodorus bleheri is a very popular aquarium plant that is both hardy and beautiful. It does require a nutrient rich substrate but it is quite unfussy with regards to lighting. As it can attain a good size, it is advisable to grow E. bleheri in a spacious aquarium. Prune regularly to prevent any plants around it being deprived of light. Propagation is by adventitious plantlets.
