Suitable for coldwater and tropical aquariums, Anti-Internal Bacterial treatment is used to treat internal infections such as reddening of body, cloudy/pop eye and dropsy.
Certain species of bacteria such as Pseudomonas, Aeromonas and Vibrio bacteria can infect fish internally causing an array of symptoms. When your fish become lethargic, fins are clamped, reddening of the body and fins, these are clear signs that your fish has an internal bacterial disease that requires treatment.
If a fishes scales appear to be raised and their eyes are slightly bulging or protruding these are signs that your fish may have a different infection usually referred to as cloudy/pop eye or dropsy. Anti-Internal Bacteria will penetrate deep into the fish to locate the disease-causing bacteria and eradicate them.
Calculate the volume of your aquarium in litres.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
Mix required dose of treatment with 1 litre of aquarium water.
Add slowly to the aquarium.
This treatment can be repeated every other day up to four applications if necessary.
If the aquarium water has a KH of 12 dKH or more and a pH of 7.5 or more, the dose can be doubled.
Nearly all the disease treatments available to fishkeepers have organic active ingredients (even those which claim to contain no chemicals). These organic chemicals are removed by adsorbent filter media such as carbon and zeolite, so remove these before adding a treatment to ensure the treatment is not removed before it has time to be effective. As a general rule of thumb, the filter mediums can be returned to the filter 7 days after the final dose of treatment has been added, but be sure to consult the instructions to see if the product requires more or less time to work.
It is also worth turning all UV systems off, increasing aeration and monitoring feeding closely don't overfeed if the fish are no wanting to eat as this can lead to further problems.
