Filter media is often placed into filter bags, this can lead to an inefficient filtration process as not all the media comes into contact with the water, leaving its full capacity unused. System reactors negate this problem as the media is placed loose into a chamber and the water is forced through so all the media comes into contact with the water without any of it being lost.
