Price Match and Price Match Plus

At Maidenhead Aquatics we’re committed to giving you great value through great products at great prices, supported by great service both in-store and on our website. Our Price Match and Price Match Plus offers to give you this peace of mind when you shop with us.

We know how important price really is, and that's why we put so much effort into getting our prices right.

Through our growing range of exclusive brands and products, we aim to make sure that we offer the best quality for the price in the marketplace

We want you to feel confident that the product you’ve bought will last and that if you do need any aftersales service, then that will be second-to-none too.

For these reasons we’re proud to offer you our Price Match and Price Match Plus policies: we will not be knowingly beaten on price for any of our products or accessories (excluding livestock and plants). If you find any product cheaper at one of our competitors, we’ll gladly match the price.

Our Price Match options are both offered against an approved list of suppliers (please contact [email protected] for our approved list), whether they are online or in a 'bricks and mortar' store, subject to our terms and conditions (link). We are unfortunately unable to offer either Price Match on Click & Collect orders.

1. Price Match (available both in store and online): If you find the same item cheaper elsewhere and show us proof, you pay the lower price on the day.

2. Price Match Plus (available in store only): Choose to pay our full price on the day, and we’ll give you, the difference between our price and the lower price, plus an extra 50% of that difference, back as store credit to spend within 6 months.

For example:

Our price: £100.00

Other store’s price: £91.50 (difference = £8.50)

If you choose Price Match:

You pay £91.50.

If you choose Price Match Plus:

You pay £100.
You get £8.50 + £4.25 = £12.75 in store credit.

To take advantage of Price Match, or Price Match Plus, in-store, speak to a member of our friendly team who will be able to assist you there and then. Be sure to have the proof of the price (this must meet our criteria, below) ready for the cheaper price you have found.

To Price Match on our website, please press the Price Match button next to the products price and fill in the form. This will ask you for a link to the website offering the product cheaper, along with a few of your contact details. Our online team will review your Price Match request and let you know if your request meets our below criteria. If it does, we will email you a discount code matching the price of the offer you have found.

What do I need to claim a price match?
Show us all necessary proof of the lower price at the time of purchase.

How long do I have to use my credit from Price Match Plus?
You can spend it on any purchase within 6 months.

Can I use my Price Match Plus credit with other promotions?
Yes, unless otherwise stated.

Can I use my Price Match Plus credit in all stores?
No, the credit is only redeemable in the store where it was issued.

Is there a limit to how much credit I can earn?
No - the more you shop, the more you save.

Terms and conditions apply, as detailed below:

1. General Rules

• Price Match and Price Match Plus can only be claimed at the time of purchase (not on previous purchases).
• They apply to identical, brand new, in-stock items (same brand, model, and specifications).
• Neither Price Match or Price Match Plus can be applied to bundle or mult-buy deals. 
• You must provide clear proof of the competitor’s price (website link, screenshot, or advert).
• The competitor’s item must be available to the general public in the UK and priced in GBP (£).
• Prices for ‘special order’ items must be agreed at the time of ordering - prices cannot be matched retrospectively after the order has arrived.
• Delivery or postage costs will be included when comparing prices.
• We reserve the right to refuse claims that don’t meet these rules or where matching would create a material loss. All Price Match transactions are carried out on a case-by-case basis and at our discretion.
• We may change or withdraw this offer at any time.

2. Price Match

With Price Match:

If you find the same item cheaper elsewhere, show us proof and we’ll match that lower price.

You pay the lower price right away.

Availability:

In-store and online.

Exclusions:

• Items from auction sites, private sellers, or third-party marketplaces.
• Clearance lines, final reductions, flash sales, multi-buy offers, voucher codes, or pricing errors.
• Trade prices or promotions only available to restricted groups.
• Interest-free credit or finance options cannot be used with Price Match.
• Only one Price Match claim per item per customer.

3. Price Match Plus

With Price Match Plus, you get more value:

Instead of paying the matched price, you choose to pay our full price.

We then give you store credit equal to the difference in price, plus 50% extra.

Example:

·        Our price: £100.00

·        Competitor’s price: £90.00 (difference = £10.00)

·        With Price Match Plus, you pay £100.00 and receive £10.00 + £5.00 = £15.00 in store credit.

Credit rules:

• Credit is valid only in the store of purchase and must be used within 6 months.
• If the original item is returned and refunded in full, the credit is cancelled.

If part of the credit has been spent, any refund on the original item will be reduced by the value of credit used.

Availability:

In-store only.

Price Match Plus is not available for online purchases.

4. How to Claim

• In-store: Show proof of the competitor’s lower price before you pay. You can then choose Price Match or Price Match Plus.
• Online: Submit a Price Match request with the product details, competitor’s name, and link/screenshot. Only Price Match is available for online purchases.

5. Returns & Refunds

• For Price Match purchases: refunds follow our normal returns policy.
• For Price Match Plus purchases:

o   If you return the item and receive a refund, any linked credit is void.

o   If some or all of the credit has already been used, your refund will be reduced by that amount.

6. Exclusions

Neither Price Match nor Price Match Plus apply to:

• Click & Collect orders
• Livestock, plants, or items sold by weight/dimension.
• Auction sites, private sellers, or marketplace listings.
• Closing down or clearance sales of competitors offering lower prices.
• Clearance, flash sales, voucher - only discounts, or bundle/multi-buy deals.
• Items with obvious pricing errors.
• Purchases made before this offer.

7. Further notes

• We cannot offer interest-free credit finance deals on any items that have been price-matched.
• Our Price Match is for personal use only. We reserve the right to restrict Price Match on each item to one per customer.
• Our Price Match policy does not affect your statutory rights.

If you are planning on making a special trip to one of our stores for the purpose of requesting a 'Price Match’ or ‘Price Match Plus’ on a product, we would strongly recommend to please call ahead to ensure that this item is in stock and is covered by our price match policy at that time.
