MA Staff Named as Finalist in the UK Aquascaping Championships!

One of our very own staff members will be competing on Saturday 15th October in the UKASC (UK Aquascaping Championships). Check out the aquascape that got him through Round 1, "Far from the Madding Crowd":
Hoping to be crowned as the UKASC's finest aquascaping of 2016, Oliver will be travelling from Belfast to Somerset, to J&K's headquarters where him and the other nine hopefuls will enjoy seminars and sponsor stands from some of the best known names in the aquatics industry.
We all wish Oliver the best of luck!

UPDATE - 17/10/2016
The UKASC (UK Aquascaping Championships) took place this past week and although Oliver did not take home first prize, he had a fantastic time and was delighted to spend some time around fellow aquaascapers and industry professionals.

They might not be as generous as the easter bunny, but rabbitfish are very giving when it comes to algae control. This One-spot fox face (Siganus unimaculatus) at Reefkeeper Rugby makes a great alternative to the more active tangs but will reach a size that necessitates a spacious aquarium. Every time I write about these fishes I wonder why the old common name of Badger fish isn’t more widely used, but then the native name of Spinefoot (thanks to their stinging venomous dorsal spines) is perhaps more deserved in areas where they’re caught as food fish.
