Our brilliant Fishkeeper Melville store is looking to expand its team at its aquarium store and is specifically seeking an experienced marine aquatics specialist.

This position requires strong, hands-on experience with saltwater (marine) systems. Applicants must have a solid understanding of reef tanks, water chemistry, filtration systems, livestock care, and troubleshooting in real-world conditions. Personal, practical experience maintaining marine aquariums is essential - this is not a theoretical or entry-level role. Applicants' available hours and days can be discussed. 

To ensure the highest standards for our customers and livestock, we are specifically seeking candidates with proven, in-depth experience. This role is best suited for individuals who are already confident and capable in managing marine systems independently, rather than those at the beginning of their journey.
While previous experience in a customer-facing or retail environment is an advantage, it is not essential (training will be provided). However, the role does involve regular interaction with customers, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable engaging with people, offering advice, and communicating clearly and confidently.

We are a dedicated and enthusiastic team that takes pride in maintaining high standards and a supportive working environment. As the care of marine livestock is a daily responsibility and our shop operates throughout the week, this role includes regular weekend shifts as part of the working schedule.
