Tappers explained to the students that after adding the new fish, it is important to add some more friendly bacteria to their tank. This was achieved by adding a cap full of Bio-Boost.

This week's video went on to explain that it is important to let the new fish settle in and not scare them as they’ll be nervously exploring their new home.

Once again, classes have tested their aquarium water to ensure that it is safe for their new aquatic friends.

We always enjoy seeing who has been awarded Fishkeeper of the Week. It is great to see all the students who have done their best to look after the fish and shown an interest in being a fishkeeper.

Figure 10: This week, Hibaq Yusuf from Sparkenhoe Community Primary School has shown exceptional enthusiasm for learning more about the project. She has especially enjoyed helping the class care for the shrimp, demonstrating a thoughtful understanding and genuine care for their well-being. Her dedication has also shone through in the fantastic way she completed her worksheets and activities.

Like every year, we will be picking a School of the Year at the end of the programme. This year it is going to be difficult to pick just one school as so many of the schools in the programme this year are providing us with some exceptional work.
