The school summer holidays are in full swing so why not indulge the kids in some fishy pursuits during the long summer break?

Lots of our stores are running kid-friendly activities over the summer such as scavenger hunts, colouring/activity packs and so on in store or you can pop into your local store and ‘Feed the Fish’ or simply take the kids in to browse our amazing tanks full of freshwater and topical fish.

Our Bridgnorth store is running a colouring competition until the end of the holidays - simply colour in a fish template from the store, return it to store with contact details, and the competition is open until 2nd September 2022.

Our Mere Park store has put together a range of activity packs for marine, tropical and old water/ pond fish each incorporating a wordsearch, puzzles and colouring sheet for each system. As part of the pack.  The team has hidden 10 plastic clown fish around the store for the children to find. Once they have found all 10 they win a pot of fish food to ‘Feed the Fish’.

With the sun continuing to shine, our pond plants are looking fantastic in-store with lots of stunning flowers on show – perfect for adding late summer colour and interest to your pond. Whether you are looking for helpful oxygenators, spiral and tall rushes, large irises and flowing marginals, we have something for every taste, not to mention water lilies in abundance. Its worth noting that as well as giving your pond a burst of colour this time of the year, marginal plants also attract wildlife and help to eradicate unwanted algae by sucking up excess waste/providing shade. Well worth a visit to your local store to stock up or browse the selection we have online here.

This selection can be found at our Fishkeeper Braehead store.
